Alpha Chi Omega's national philanthropy works towards supporting survivors of domestic violence. As an organization, our values are rooted in compassion and care for our members and the communities around us. The funds we raise from our weeklong philanthropy event is donated to a local survivor shelter, Domestic Violence Solutions (DVS). Throughout the year, we hold tabling events on campus aimed at spreading awareness among our community and raising additional funds for DVS.
This past year, we raised the most money out of all of our past years despite it being virtual!
"We provide safety, shelter, and support for individuals and families affected by domestic violence and collaborate with community partners to raise awareness regarding the cause, prevalence, and impact." - Santa Barbara Domestic Violence Solutions
community philanthropic action
The Panhellenic and IFC organizations at UCSB are motivated to serve the surrounding communities by volunteering at IV Elementary School, the local animal shelters, community clean up programs, and more! We also participate in other chapters' philanthropy events to support a broad array of causes. These events offer unique opportunities to get to know members in other sorority and fraternity houses as we volunteer our time.
